Death Guard Plague Marine — The Undying Rot of Nurgle’s Chosen

Once warriors of the Death Guard XIV Legion — stoic, resilient, and unyielding — the Plague Marines are what remains after ten thousand years of Nurgle’s most generous blessings. Their bodies are bloated, festering husks riddled with disease and corruption, yet they march on with a hideous vitality that makes them among the most durable warriors in the galaxy. Their rotting brains are inured to the agony of bodily corruption, rendering them all but immune to the pain of battle wounds — bolter shells, blade strikes, and las blasts that would fell a loyalist Space Marine are shrugged off as minor inconveniences. Armed with a Boltgun whose mass-reactive shells carry the taint of Nurgle’s gift into every wound they inflict, this Plague Marine also bears the dread Icon of Despair — a corrupted standard shaped in the sacred symbol of Nurgle itself, its dark aura so oppressive that enemy warriors within its shadow find their resolve crumbling and their courage guttering like a dying flame, their Leadership withering under the weight of inexorable, spreading dread. Grandfather Nurgle provides.
