JoyToy Warhammer The Horus Heresy Chaos Space Marines Word Bearers Kor Phaeron with Patriarch's Claws

Estimated Available Date: November – 2026

Kor Phaeron — The Black Cardinal, First Captain and Keeper of the Dark Faith

No figure in the Word Bearers XVII Legion is more singular — or more sinister — than Kor Phaeron, the “Black Cardinal”. The foster father of Primarch Lorgar himself and the man who first whispered the seeds of heresy into the Primarch’s ear on Colchis, Kor Phaeron is the architect of the Word Bearers’ fall to Chaos as much as any other. Too old to receive the full transformation of a Space Marine, he was instead gene-crafted by Lorgar’s Apothecaries into something in between — neither fully human nor fully Astartes, but possessed of a dark cunning and psychic power that makes him one of the most dangerous figures in the Traitor camp. Clad in the Terminus Consolaris — his personal suit of Terminator Armour — and wielding the Patriarch’s Claws: a matched pair of Charnabal fighting claws crafted specifically to compensate for his diminished Astartes physiology, each blade designed to rend flesh and slice through armour with cruel, shredding efficiency. It was Kor Phaeron who led the Word Bearers’ treacherous assault on Calth — and dared to attempt the corruption of Primarch Roboute Guilliman himself. The truth is revealed.
